Welcome Lucas to the Biophotonics group!

I am a biomedical engineering student in my 2^nd year at the ISIFC, in France. I joined the Dept. of Physics at the University of Auckland for a 14-weeks internship under the supervision of Frederique Vanholsbeeck and Marco Bonesi. The topic of my project is to develop an SD-OCT system to image the human lymphatic system in vivo, with the possibility of incorporating an adaptive optics module for increased system resolution.

I started my internship this week, and I am very excited about this great opportunity. I am motivated to learn many of the practical aspects of working in an optical research lab, learn science, get involved in the project, get to know my new colleagues, and also to improve my English!
